The Perfect 4 Day Desert Itinerary From Marrakech To Merzouga

Day 1: Marrakech → High Atlas Mountains → Aït Benhaddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley

The road then winds through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, offering dramatic geological formations.

Arrive in Agdez, the gateway to the Draa Valley—Morocco’s longest river and home to one of the country’s most extensive palm groves. After lunch, continue to Ouarzazate, where you’ll check into your hotel. The evening is free to relax, explore the town at your leisure, or enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

 Day 4: Ouarzazate → Telouet Kasbah → High Atlas → Marrakech

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Marrakech with a special detour to the Telouet Kasbah. This often-missed gem was once the seat of the powerful Glaoui family.
